Some Days Are Like That
1 fruit pouch, 1 yogurt stick, 1 1/2 litres of water and 1/2 of a peanut butter and jelly. It seemed like more than enough for a couple hours of fishing before lunch. 7.5 hours later my daughter and I finally started heading back to camp. The euphoria of lots of fish, big fish and an incredible setting had availed us of our normal need to eat or drink.
There hadn’t been a tantrum all day. We were simply having to much fun. Every year a few days of hunting or fishing stand out as exceptional. This was one of them. It’s the reason you keep going, you know that if you put in enough time you will get to see something special. Something that odds are you would miss if you only went occasionally. And I was fortunate enough to share it with my daughter.
She summed up the day best. “Daddy that was pretty awesome!”
Love that first pic, Steven!
Thanks man, I really appreciate it!
Oh my – takes my breath away,,,, not the fish, not the scenery, just the love…..
That means a lot Rick, thanks so much!
