Six days, five nights, and one of the most impressive rivers in the lower forty eight. Cut through the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness, the Middle Fork of the Salmon is as good as it gets.
What is the white water like this time of the year? I have wanted to run that river with fly rod in hand for years but am reluctant because there is some serious WW. Does it get significantly calmer by the end of summer?
Still a fair bit of class III and some class IV, but the fishing is fantastic! Certainly worth the effort, but a serious river nonetheless.
looking forward to it in October
