Braving the “W”
Spray from the river and your jacket collar take turns slapping you in the face. Wind pushes waves upstream. After driving a couple of hours and dumping the boat in the river the options are limited. Keep pushing.
Spring is fickle. Calm bluebird days are interspersed with harsh winds, snow storms, hail, graupel, and nearly every other form of precipitation or weather condition you can imagine. But it can also bring great rewards. Keep some wood on the porch, keep gas in the truck, get out there. The more you brave the elements the greater the return on your investment.
Graupel is officially my new favorite word. I love this blog, thank you.
It’s a great word for sure and useful! Thanks so much for the positive encouragement!
My grandpa’s favorite expression for Spring snow, “snaw.”
